Those of us who work as a guide on the Free Walking Tour know that it depends on the quality of the tour and how much the visitor is willing to pay. We too who work on the Spanish free tour of Hamburg know this. It depends on the locality and it must be admitted that the standard of living in Hamburg and Germany in general is high. Finally a tip: Look at the paid tours offered to give you an idea. In general you pay between 15,- and 20,- per person on these tours. But it doesn’t mean we wouldn’t be happy unless we were happy. OUR PHILOSOPHY
Of course we could headline our authentic guided tours as “free tour” as other companies do here in Hamburg, but we don’t think it’s fair, as the idea is another: FREE WALKING TOUR means there is no fixed amount. The Free Tour of the Historic Center
… Free Tour in english in Hamburg. The tour of the historic center begins at 11:00 am in the town hall square. For this we wait for you with yellow umbrellas and we start from there through the historic center passing through:

down the Deichstrasse, one of Hamburg’s oldest streets and

… explaining more than 1200 years of history and ending at 1:00 pm at the St. Michaelis Church. In this way you will take unforgettable images of the city.
The guided tour of the port and the red light district
… with the yellow umbrellas at the landing bridges bridge N°5 at 2:00 pm for the Free Tour. First we will travel if possible on the ferry “62” through the port, which to this day remains one of the most important in the world. Then the tour will continue through the St. Pauli and the Red Light District, including the history of the Beatles, who began their career here in Hamburg in this ambiguous neighborhood full of images unfit for minors. Because of this the tour is not the most suitable for children although they are always welcome and the tour will adapt to this circumstance. The tour will end depending on the guide at Germany’s smallest police station or in The Beatles Square at 4:00 pm.

It is also worth seeing the Laiesz-Hof and in conjunction with this the “Deichstra-e”. In fact one of the few streets that survived the great fire of Hamburg. Actually you will find some of the oldest houses in the city. Further on you might see the warehouse city and the new tourist attraction: the Elbe Philharmonic.

Muy bueno e informativo los paseos con Isabel y Ramiro. Fue muy divertido y aprendimos sobre Hamburgo a la vez. Además Ramiro lo hizo un poco más interactivo haciendo preguntas que uno tenia que pensar en el camino y responder en la siguiente parada y entonces repartía pequeños premios

Fue un muy buen tour, recomendado!! Estuvimos caminando con Jan por dos horas y nos llevo a lugares emblemáticos contándonos un poco de la historia de la ciudad.Eso sí, en el camino puede llover así que es importante alistar chaquetas y si prefieren sombrilla!
